Digg – Digg is blocked at thousands of schools across the nation – Stop it!
This is one of the more stupid things that I have come across in my internet experience. Not only is Digg a very popular news tool, but it is often more accurate than the major media outlets as users (usually) research arcticles they post.
$5 says that in a matter of days, probably less, a Digg ghost site will pop up to get around the blockages.
In the words of the famous band Metallicocks (yes its spelled right): “Blockages; baaaad!”
That is the first time I have hear about that. I agree that it is stupid, as I could think of a lot more things that should be blocked in schools that currently are allowed!!
. Digg and a few others actually have good, relevant content that is informative and useful. Personally, I think most of the major media conglomerates should be blocked. Some of the crap they have is downright scary.
But then again we get into the whole freedom of speech stuff and you know some high school neo-hippy is gonna start protesting and raising a ruckus about the blockages.
